No matter how good the equipment is, it is useless to use it blindly without maintenance. Good equipment is maintained.

Below please check the maintenance points of cryogenic storage tanks:

(1) Measurement of the vacuum degree between the inner and outer interlayer (cycle one year)

(2) Daily inspection of the supporting facilities of the storage tank equipment like Liquid Oxygen Tank and Nitrogen Storage Tank: the fire sprinkler pipe on the outer wall of the storage tank, the lightning protection and anti-static grounding wires are intact.

(3) The foundation of the storage tank should be observed frequently to find out if there is any sinking or damage, and the problem should be reported and corrected in time.

(4) The safety valve should be inspected regularly to observe whether there is frost and condensate. The safety valve on the storage tank needs to be re-calibrated after it has taken off.

(5) The outer surface of the low-temperature storage tank should be inspected regularly for abnormal phenomena such as deformation, corrosion, frosting, condensation, etc., and promptly report and deal with any problems found.

(6) The liquid level of the storage tank should be within the normal storage range, the upper limit of the liquid level is 85%, and the lower limit is 15%.

(7) There are pressure gauges and differential pressure level gauges on the storage tanks, on-site instructions and remote transmission and transmission. The remote transmission is collected and transmitted to the central control room as automatic control data, and needs to be regularly tested and verified. The level gauge and storage tank capacity should be corrected according to the density of the storage medium.

(8) The first valve connected to the storage tank eg.Liquid Carbon Dioxide Tank and nitrogen gas storage tank,  must not be used as a control valve for incoming and outgoing materials, and frequent switching is not allowed. It should be kept in the normally open state and switched on and off regularly to keep it flexible and easy to use. Because it is difficult to replace the first valve.

(9) After the cryogenic valve is used for a period of time, liquid leakage will occur. If a slight leak is found in the upper gland, the packing gland should be pressed tightly. If the valve core cannot be closed, replace the valve core. It is strictly forbidden to add oil and water to clean the low-temperature valve.

(10) Do not place any substance around the storage tank to obstruct the pedestrian passage and operation, and keep the site tidy.
