How to set Filling Stations?

We have a wide range of Oxygen generating and cylinder filling stations used for oxygen production. Oxygen cylinders can be filled at the same time or during hours with low consumption. The end pressure ranges from 150 bar to 200 bar. Oxygen generators produce gaseous oxygen from compressed air on site and offer a cost-effective, reliable and safe alternative to traditional oxygen gas supplies. The design is made for round the clock 24/7 operation. Each generator is equipped with automatic start&stop function, enabling the generator to start and stop automatically according to the consumption. 

Oxygen generator incorporated with oxygen high pressure compressor for filling cylinders creates a system called Oxygen cylinder filling station. System consists of essentials such as air compressor, dryer, filtration etc. and standard features including molecular sieve protection, stainless steel piping and many more. Oxygen filling plant, also known as oxygen filling station can be enhanced with optional features to make the operation more comfortable for the end user, for instance remote control, flow meter and flow control valve or energy saving valve, etc.  

Design Requirements of Oxygen Filling Station

Location:
Oxygen filling station design should conform to the related requirements of fire-fighting, safety and environment protection and town & country planning. The station should be set up in the area with clean air. Besides, it is arranged on the downwind side of the minimum frequency wind direction of the year , in which harmful gases and solid dust particles are emitted. 

Distance:
The fire safety distances between oxygen filling stations and other buildings and structures are determined in accordance with the current national standards GB50016 “Code for Fire Protection in Building Design” and GB16912 “Technical Specification for Safety of Oxygen and Related Gases”, combined with the construction and operational experience of domestic oxygen filling stations. The fireproof distance between oxygen stations and various buildings and structures shall be ≥10m from the first and second grade buildings and structures, ≥25m away from civil buildings, open flames or sparks, and ≥25m away from outdoor transformation and distribution stations. Off-site road (roadside) ≥15m.

Process:
Oxygen will enter into the buffer tank for store from the gas supplier workshop and being compressed by compressor to 15Mpa. Then, the gases will go to the corresponding cylinders for applications. 

Equipment: 
The choice of equipment should satisfy the reasonable structure, reliable performance, convenient operation, safe use, significant energy saving, and strong versatility. Oxygen Compressors: Oxygen-specific piston compressors, type vertical, double-row, five-stage, non-lubricated, with displacement of 180m3/h (inhalation), outlet pressure of 15MPa, cylinders with circulating water cooling , With a dedicated water supply system, and set the temperature high interlock parking device. 

The Buffer tank: plays a role in buffering, should use anti-aging, anti-corrosion, high air tightness, with fire-retardant, anti-static, anti-ultraviolet, acid and alkali corrosion characteristics. The
Water Sealing Tank: Prevents deformation of the storage balloon deflated and maintains normal operating pressure. 
The Vacuum pump: The vacuum pump uses WLW series reciprocating vacuum pump. The pumping rate is 150L/s, the ultimate vacuum is 2.6KPa, and the exhaust pressure is 0.01MPa.

Electrical design:
All electrical equipment and lighting protection levels are not lower than IP54. The illuminance values are based on different illumination requirements and environmental characteristics of the room's function and location, and different types of luminaires are used to make the fluorescent lamp electric light source of high-efficiency energy-saving lamps as the main component. The wall of the lighting box is fixedly installed, and the lighting wires in the empty bottle room, solid bottle room and oxygen compressor room are protected by steel pipes and laid along the columns.

Lightning protection grounding design
The building's oxygen station compressor room is a 21-zone fire hazard environment. The oxygen bottle-filling room, oxygen storage tank room, and oxygen storage room are 22-zone fire hazard environments. The requirements are based on the “Lightning Protection Design Code for Buildings” and are the second Class lightning protection buildings. The roof adopts lightning flashes to prevent direct lightning, and the grid is not larger than 12×8m. The flashlight (φ10 round steel) bracket has a fixed spacing of no more than 1000mm, and the turning point is no more than 500mm. The bracket uses -25×4 galvanized flat steel. All raised metal structures on the roof should be connected with the flash. Lightning protection device deflector (φ10 round steel) is protected by galvanized angle steel from 1.7m on the ground to 0.3m below the ground. The clamp is set at 0.3m on the ground, and the impact grounding resistance of the down conductor is not more than 10Ω.

Fire design
The new oxygen filling station was built using the transformation of the existing warehouse. The built-up warehouse has a plane size of 32m×17m and a height of 7.8m. According to the “Code for Fire Protection of Architectural Design” GB500162006, the outdoor fire hydrant for oxygen extinguishing stations is 25L/s, and the indoor fire hydrant water consumption is 10L/s. Therefore, the fire-fighting capacity of the new oxygen filling station is 35L/s, the fire-extinguishing time is 2h, and the fire-fighting water reserve is 252m3. According to calculations, a new fire protection pipeline of DN150 is needed outside, and a fire protection pipeline of DN100 needs to be built indoors.
