Linde acquires the Zhongnan Iron and Steel Air Separation Plant under China Baowu Iron and Steel Group and signs a gas supply agreement

Linde announced that it has signed two cooperation agreements with Zhongnan Steel, a subsidiary of China Baowu Iron and Steel Group, one of the world's largest steel companies. One of the agreements involves Linde's acquisition of an air separation unit located at the production site of Zhongnan Iron and Steel in Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province. Prior to signing this agreement, Linde had already owned and operated 5 air separation units in the area, and provided industrial gas to Central South Steel. The newly acquired air separation unit will be upgraded and renovated, along with 5 existing air separation units, to achieve a total gas production of approximately 130000 standard cubic meters per hour in Linde's local area. In addition to the aforementioned acquisition agreement, Linde has further extended its long-term agreement to supply industrial gas to the Shaoguan factory of Zhongnan Iron and Steel. In addition to meeting the production needs of Central South Steel, these six sets of air separation units will also meet the demand of local customers for liquid gas supply. (Linde gas)

Hainan Commercial Aerospace Supporting Gas Project Starts

Recently, the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site Special Combustion and Gas Supporting Project officially started construction in Wenchang. After the project is completed, it will provide six products for the Hainan International Commercial Space Launch Site: liquid hydrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, high-purity liquid methane, helium, and aerospace kerosene. It is understood that the Hainan Commercial Aerospace Launch Site Special Combustion and Gas Supporting Project is invested and constructed by Guangdong Jiufeng Energy Group Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 493 million yuan and an area of about 98 acres. It includes one 9400 ton/year liquid methane purification device, one 333 ton/year hydrogen production and liquefaction device, one 48000 ton/year liquid oxygen and 48000 ton/year liquid nitrogen air separation preparation device, one 384000 cubic meter/year helium storage and liquid helium gasification device, one 7114 ton/year aerospace kerosene storage device, as well as supporting public works and auxiliary facilities. The Huaneng 200MW wind solar energy storage hydrogen production project is scheduled to commence in June 2024

Recently, the Technical Committee of Huaneng New Energy Mengdong Branch held a feasibility study review meeting for the 200000 kilowatt wind and solar energy storage hydrogen production project in Kezuo Middle Banner. The meeting emphasized that as the first hydrogen production strategic emerging industry project of the new energy company, this project has received high attention and strong support from the new energy company. The relevant departments of the company, participating parties, and reviewers should improve their political stance, strengthen their sense of responsibility, further unify their thinking, gather consensus, and accurately implement the "responsibility system+list system+node system" to ensure the completion of the hydrogen production project's construction period on June 30th. Shanxi Pengfei Group won the largest order in the history of hydrogen fuel cell semi-trailer tractors

Pengfei Group, as the main enterprise of the hydrogen energy industry chain in Shanxi Province, has initially created a closed-loop ecosystem for the entire hydrogen energy industry chain. The 500 hydrogen heavy-duty truck project in Qian'an City, Hebei Province is an important step taken by Pengfei Group to extend its hydrogen energy industry chain outward. At present, Shanxi Pengfei Group has completed the deployment of 200 hydrogen powered heavy-duty trucks, and the Pengfei hydrogen powered heavy-duty truck operation model has become the best and only pure commercial application scenario in the country. In 2024, the headquarters of Pengfei Group, located in Xiaoyi City, plans to promote 200 hydrogen powered heavy-duty trucks to key industrial enterprises such as coal, coke, aluminum, and electricity in the city.
