Working principle

The nitrogen generator is based on the principle of pressure swing adsorption, using high-quality carbon molecular sieves as adsorbents, and producing nitrogen from the air under a certain pressure.

The purified and dried compressed air is subjected to pressure adsorption and decompression desorption in the adsorber.Due to the kinetic effect, the diffusion rate of oxygen in the micropores of the carbon molecular sieve is much greater than that of nitrogen. When the adsorption does not reach equilibrium, the nitrogen is enriched in the gas phase to form the finished nitrogen.Then the pressure is reduced to normal pressure, and the adsorbent desorbs the adsorbed oxygen and other impurities to realize regeneration.Generally, two adsorption towers are installed in the system. One tower absorbs nitrogen and the other tower desorption and regeneration. The two towers are automatically controlled by PLC program to make the two towers work alternately to achieve the purpose of continuous production of high-quality nitrogen.

The process

The nitrogen generator is composed of adsorber, pneumatic shut-off valve, buffer filter, nitrogen buffer tank, pressure regulating valve, flow meter, instrument control and other parts.The raw material air is pressurized to 0.8MPa by an air compressor, and a large amount of oil, water, dust and other impurities are removed through the compressed air purification system, and then enters the adsorber.The purified dry and pure raw air passes through the buffer filter and enters the bottom of the adsorber. After the airflow diffuses through the distributor, it enters the adsorber filled with carbon molecular sieve for pressure swing adsorption and separation of oxygen and nitrogen.Nitrogen is enriched in the gas phase and enters the nitrogen buffer tank, pressure regulating valve, and flow meter as a product from the upper outlet, and the exhaust gas is discharged at the end of the muffler.
