Nitrogen molecule contains a lone pair of electrons and is more polar than oxygen and has a larger quadrupole moment, so the interaction force between N2 and the cation in the zeolite framework is strong. After the air passes through the zeolite column layer by layer, the oxygen content in the gas phase gradually increases, so that oxygen-rich effluent gas can be obtained. A pressure swing adsorption oxygen (nitrogen production) system mainly includes three parts: air compression system, compressed air pretreatment system, and adsorption separation system.
The technological progress of PSA air separation is mainly concentrated in two aspects:
1) The improvement of the pressure swing adsorption air separation process makes the process more energy-saving and efficient;
2) Improvement of the performance of PSA air separation adsorbent.
The adsorbent is the basis of the pressure swing adsorption technology. The performance of the adsorbent determines the adsorption and separation effect, which determines the investment in the adsorption equipment and the economics of separation.
Features of PSA oxygen generator and PSA nitrogen generator:
1) Convenient to open and stop: The qualified products can be obtained as required by the original driving for tens of minutes. The supply of qualified products can be quickly restored by restarting after a temporary shutdown.
2) Large operating flexibility.
3) High degree of automation. The entire adsorption and separation process is controlled by PLC or DCS, which can realize unmanned operation.
4) Lower operating cost. The operating cost is low, and the main operating cost is to control power consumption.
5) The molecular sieve has a long life. Under normal operating conditions, it can generally be used for 8-10 years without environmental pollution.
6) Low investment and low one-time investment.
