In the warm winter of Hainan, a new year of 2024 has arrived. Looking back on this year, Sichuan Air Separation took national major projects as its responsibility, gathered the strength of the entire company, went all out, overcame numerous difficulties, raced against time, and carried out task coordination and planning beyond convention, successfully achieving the set goals of the year with high quality and efficiency, and helping to accelerate the construction of Hainan Commercial Development projects.

Factory acceptance of liquid hydrogen storage tanks
The Hainan Commercial Development project has a large number of equipment and tight cycles, including a water spray system. There are more than 30 sets of equipment (including liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid hydrogen containers, subcoolers, liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen boosters, vaporizers, kerosene storage containers, kerosene heat exchangers, water spray storage tanks, etc.), over 800 cryogenic vacuum pipelines, and more than 2000 valves and brackets. Faced with such complex and huge work tasks, in order to comprehensively ensure the timely delivery, with the support and strategic deployment of the leadership of Sichuan Air Separation Group, the production and manufacturing tasks are carried out synchronously in the manufacturing factories in Jianyang and Hangzhou, ensuring the necessary materials, funds, manpower and other issues for the project through multiple channels.

In this Hainan Commercial Development project, Sichuan Air Separation has mobilized more than 600 backbone technical personnel to participate in the production and manufacturing of project equipment, pipelines, valves, brackets, and other products. In addition, more than 100 people have participated in the installation, anti-corrosion, temporary factory building and other engineering construction on the project site, overcoming many difficulties such as power and water shortage, road blockage, cross operation of civil engineering, rainy season, and hot weather, It ensures the smooth completion of every important node in project construction and has been highly recognized by Hainan Commercial Development and Aerospace General Contractor.
Since the first batch of tasks was assigned to the project on January 2, 2023, with the joint efforts of all Sichuan Air employees, the company has completed the first batch of over 300 cryogenic vacuum pipelines in just over three months, becoming the first batch of completed and delivered products for Hainan Commerical Development's refueling and gas supply; Complete the application for construction of pressure pipelines and install them on the commercial development site in May 2023; On July 4th, the largest component equipment of Launch Station 1 was completed - three 300m³ water spray systems, lifting and positioning of gas and water tanks. Completed installation and acceptance of 750m³storage tanks on November 30th. On December 25th, the Lifting and positioning of one nitrogen and oxygen filling system with one 150m³ Storage tank and three 400m³ tanks were completed . On December 30th, the production and installation of more than 20 individual equipment (excluding vehicles and kerosene storage tanks), as well as the installation of liquid hydrogen and oxygen nitrogen external pipelines, hydrogen storage area pipelines, equipment and pipelines on hydrogen towers and oxygen nitrogen towers, were completed.
On December 29, 2023, with the official completion of the No.1 launch station, the installation of the refueling gas supply system pipeline became a highlight of on-site work. At the end of the year and beginning of the year, all employees of Chuankong on site gave up the opportunity to take a vacation and reunite with their families, insisting on dedicating themselves to the tense installation and construction with unwavering fighting spirit and even more enthusiasm. At present, in the cryogenic refueling system, the liquid hydrogen and oxygen nitrogen refueling system bridge, hydrogen combustion system, oxygen nitrogen emission system, and oxygen nitrogen storage area are being carried out intensively.
A new journey, a new starting point. In 2024, with the full support and leadership of Hainan Commercial Development, the general contractor Aerospace First Institute Special Vehicle Company, and Beijing Aerospace Launch Technology Research Institute, Sichuan Air Separation Group will continue to promote the corporate spirit of "unity, integrity, and decisive victory".
