Dry ice is solid carbon dioxide with the chemical formula CO₂.

How does dry ice change from gaseous carbon dioxide to solid carbon dioxide?

Under high pressure, specifically under the pressure of 6250.5498 kPa, carbon dioxide is liquefied into a colorless liquid, and then rapidly solidified under low pressure to obtain solid carbon dioxide.

As shown in the figure, dry ice is a white solid, the melting point of dry ice is -78.5°C, and the boiling point is -57°C.

Be careful not to get frostbitten by dry ice, you will need protective gloves.
